Even today, his music is appreciated for its rare depth, complexity and diversity. Nevertheless, it suffers from a reputation of austerity among the general public, and is imagined to be difficult to access. Wrong! Bach?s language, a living treasure of our cultural heritage, is for everyone.
Program :
3:30 pm: Concert by students from the Lunel School of Music.
5 pm: Music salon.
Bastien Crocq and his students will talk about Bach, immerse us in the life of a man, a culture, a history, and perform his music.
8 pm: Piano recital by Bastien Crocq.
Program: Partita in B flat Major, BWV 825
Concerto dans le goût Italien, BWV 971 Chaconne in D minor, BWV 1004, arranged for the left hand alone by Johannes Brahms. Aria in E-flat Major from the Cantata "Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit", arranged for piano by György Kurtág.
