The Notre-Dame Gate

Probably built in the 12th or early 13th century, the Notre-Dame Gate is one of the most imposing remains of the first medieval wall, which delimited the castrum over an area of 9 ha.

It was the northern entrance to the town.

It was guarded by two towers, only one of which remains today: the Prison Tower.
