Green Grid

THE GREEN NETWORK® is a "multi-practice" hiking route, offering hikers, horse riders and mountain bikers more than 530 km of marked trails in 23 stages.

It crosses the Hérault from east to west and gives hikers the opportunity to discover the immense variety of natural environments and the quality of the Hérault landscape. Labelled by the French Cycling Federation (FFC) as the Grande Traversée de l'Hérault, you will find signposts every 500m along the route.

The eastern start is located at the archaeological site of Ambrussum, in the Lunel region.

To facilitate hiking, the Department has set up eight stopovers for outdoor activities. From the Réseau Vert®, you can take other labelled routes such as the Petites Randonnées (PR) and Grandes Randonnées (GR) paths or join one of the many mountain bike/FFC sites in the department, as well as the Traversée Larzac-Méditerranée, which joins the coast at Agde.
