CONFÉRENCE "FEMMES GRECQUES ILLUSTRES" PAR MIREILLE SANCHEZ
13 Jun
Cultural
Lecture by Mireille Sanchez, classics teacher and president of Arelam.
Friday June 13, 6pm - Salle Pierre Perret (rue du Bassin) - Saint-Sériès.
Compared to other ancient civilizations, the status of Greek women was far from enviable: they were practically deprived of political or legal rights and power.
In spite of this, some courageous and determined women broke through the restrictions to leave their mark on history, excelling in the most diverse fields: politics, science, philosophy, literature, sport, medicine and so on.
Open to all - Free admission
