L?An XIV d?Ambrussum-Saturday, July 5 17h-22h-Sunday, July 6 10h-19h- LUNEL

Over the course of an evening and a day, stonemasons, masons, carpenters, boilermakers, blacksmiths and painter-decorators will be at work on a real Roman-style building site, with their life-size lifting equipment, to build the central part of a domus, a Gallo-Roman house, under the conditions of the time. Every step of the construction process will be visible and commented on at every turn: block cutting, lifting, column assembly, carpentry, roofing, a central rainwater collection basin and decorative plasterwork! Two war machines, a ballista and a polybolos (Greco-Roman automatic crossbow), will be on display and in operation for shooting demonstrations. Refreshments on site on both days. A refreshment bar will be available throughout the event.
And on the evening of Saturday, July 5, several sweet and savoury food-trucks will be on hand to tempt you and let you spend the evening on site!
Saturday July 5 (5-10pm) and Sunday July 6 (10am-7pm)
