The Tourist Office opens the doors to the Lunel arboretum, a secret garden on the edge of town and a garden of delights that produces mostly forgotten fruits.

Around a central area ideal for resting or playing, our guide takes you on a great journey of plants. Through six spaces or "chambers", you'll discover the evolution of the Mediterranean plant world, from the Mesolithic to the present day.

You'll discover that, while the arbutus and the jujube may not be as well known as the olive or the vine, they are nonetheless part of the Mediterranean diet! On the other hand, you'll be surprised to learn that many species you might have thought were Mediterranean (prickly pear, agave, etc.) actually crossed the Atlantic Ocean with the conquerors.
