This autumn, Ambrussum welcomes the famous Lego® bricks and offers passionate children and adults a major challenge:
Build a Lego® XXL model!
The Roman roadhouse of Ambrussum, with the Via Domitia and its bridge on over 6m²!
Set up every 20km or so along the main roads, these relays acted as rest areas, catering to all travelers' needs, especially here in southern Gaul, on the Via Domitia route.

And the Romans thought of everything, so you won't want to forget anything on the Lego® model!

First, the buildings: the three inns, the post office, the house with the blacksmith?s workshop for repairing carts, the sanctuary, the baths, the four wells, etc. Secondly, the environment in which the relais d?étape was built: to the south of the relais, a monumental bridge that allowed the road to cross the Vidourle, whose banks were once farmed. Finally, the life of the relay: people, animals, carts, objects, even amphorae and the vegetable garden - everything will be there!

Each workshop will also be an opportunity to discover in greater detail the secrets of the remains excavated by archaeologists in this roadhouse, and to understand how 3D or Lego® reconstructions come into being.

Indeed, for this project, Ambrussum collaborated with Lego® specialists UNIBRICK to model each element of the model as faithfully as possible, based on archaeological surveys.

Once completed, this giant collaborative model will be on display in the museum hall until spring 2026.

A few thousand parts, assembly instructions and it's up to you to add your brick to the edifice!

And why not take advantage of the opportunity to have a picnic after the workshop and a booklet-game to discover the remains in the afternoon?

2 types of booklet: a treasure hunt for 6-12 year-olds or an archaeological investigation for teens/adults
