Rooted in gypsy swing, Alert?O Jazz reinterprets melodies by the great Georges. With unexpected detours into biguine, bossa and world music, the trio plants a few pretty flowers in a pot of jazz and swing.
Unexpected arrangements will take you on a journey from the darkest blues to the most unbridled gypsy effusions, from Tonton Nestor?s facetiousness to the musings of a poor gravedigger? Each of the Sétois master?s melodies is associated with a quotation from a great jazz, musette or Bach standard! An instrumental performance, "Swing pour l?Auvergnat" is also a festive, poetic show with commentary, revisiting Brassens? work, sometimes with impertinence, but always with humor and tenderness (the great Master forgives them).
