Véronique Beucler gives an original lecture on Rabelais and his work.
The aim is to present the author François Rabelais in all his humor and depth. In this lecture, I propose
a portrait of a Renaissance genius who tells stories of giants to entertain his readers, but also hides more secret messages in his anecdotes. I'll be reading texts chosen for their originality and comedy, and deciphering them to get the "gist" out of them. It'll be a moment of sharing and relaxation, because Rabelaisian language and subjects don't breed melancholy!
I'm an agrégée de lettres modernes, and have directed a dozen plays and published 5 novels for adults, published by Le Passage, Albin Michel, Dialogues and Maurice Nadeau. My latest young adult novel was published in October 2022 by Actes Sud.
