A world-jazz quartet with a singular instrumentation, Chocho Canelle draws its inspiration from world music. They follow in the footsteps of today?s jazz groups who have abolished stylistic boundaries.
In a subtle, virtuoso balance, their music blends multiple colors: those of Latin influences from South America, Creole and Africa, as well as jazz, classical music and others that are more impressionistic, calmer and softer.
The title of their debut album, "Yo te cielo", is borrowed from a phrase by Frida Kahlo: "Can we invent verbs? I'd like to tell you one: je te cielo, so my wings stretch out, enormous, to love you without measure"
Camille Heim: harp, composition
Léo Danais: drums, composition
Arthur Guyard: keyboards, composition
Timothé Renard: clarinets
