The artist paints on multiple surfaces at once: walls, floors, objects... Each fragment appears abstract, but from a specific v%E9antage point, they all align to reveal a single image. This is the principle of anamorphosis: an optical illusion in which perspective transforms apparent chaos into a coherent form, visible only from the right angle, thus creating an optical illusion.
For the first time in Lunel, the internationally renowned artist Georges Rousse is taking over the Louis Feuillade space for a major retrospective of his work.Twenty-five photographs of his anamorphoses created between 1986 and 2006 will be on display, tracing forty years of his international artistic career.
The artist will also create a site-specific installation that will transform the architecture of the Louis Feuillade space into an optical illusion.
