Under a tin roof, three women look at one another. Nothing feels emptier to them than this moment. They don’t speak to one another; Fam San’vizaz watches over them. They don’t know each other. Euphrasie, a Malagasy woman in Réunion in 1790; Elise, a woman from Morvan in 1880; and Antoinette, a woman from Réunion in 1960. All three of them have cared for children. Were they nannies, wet nurses, or nénènes?
Through a fictional journey across time and space, three actresses and a musician explore the figure of the wet nurse.
